Don't like to tempt fate. Pickford is key. Nervous about Falcao turning up. It's literally too close to call. Would love to see Hendo volley us home from just outside the D :nana: :nana: :nana:

Have to say don't really rate Henderson. Think its the way he runs, like a stick insect with his knees to far in front of himself, saying that think he's better than Dier. Pickford makes me feel nervous, think he's trying to make every save look good on the telly but he dives like a Sunday league dad.

Hendo superb throughout. Absolutely superb the English pirlo. Tripper up 30pts. Maguire Harrying Maguire how we love you and the circumference of your head. Stones becomes a man with Franz Bekenbaur in his boots. Pick ford a hero until the end. Too small they said too f**king small they said. Lil Jessie Lingard with the goal of the tourny Captain Kane right place right time steely nerve setting the pace . And a manager with dignity calm passion and kind words for all. His speech to the boys just before pens vs col had me wiping my eyes. Fell short to Croatia packed with Barca and Real players. No wolly with the brolly this time though. 11 players 3 Lions 1 team and a waist coat.

Caviettes: The first goal was a blatant foul. Foot up studs showing. The ball went off the pitch for ENGLAND corners and throw ons 4 times unoticed.

Come on England :nana: :nana: :nana:

I am actually yeah. Not going on holiday this year went to futureventura in October during inset days so have used up me money. Boy nomber 1 just finished gcses and lounging around like a teenager. Girl 1 is in a school production of Hairspray going to watch tonight. Ive given up football coaching (bit of a wrench tbh but the right decision) Me n Leslies aniverssy tomorrow neither of us have bought cards. Alisson and Fekir would be the icing on the cake.

Although I bet Alan would have liked the chance

Alan Heaton Hodgson
Lance Corporal, 1st Bn, Gordon Highlanders. Service no: 14391326.
Age: 20. Death Date: 20th February 1945.
Son of John William and Maud Hodgson, of Oakworth, Keighley, Yorkshire.
RHEINBERG WAR CEMETERY, Plot 12. Row B. Grave 17.

Alan is mentioned on the Bogthorn Methodist Chapel Sunday School lists of Oakworth men who served in WW2.

Alan was educated at Oakworth School, Holycroft School and Keighley Technical College. When he left school he worked as a shop assistant in the Lidget Co-op stores, Oakworth. Alan's one ambition in life was to be on stage as a comedian. In the early 40's an impresario named Carroll Lewis used to tour round the provincial theatres looking for talent. The chosen ones were featured in a radio programme called Carroll Lewis' Discoveries. When it was advertised in the local paper that Carroll Lewis was coming to Keighley Theatre looking for talent, Alan applied to be considered and after an audition, was accepted to appear before Carroll Lewis. When the date was fixed for Carroll Lewis to be at Keighley Alan was sent an invitation to appear on stage before the "talent spotter". But Alan had been called up a month before and therefore could not attend. What a huge disappointment! On the very few occasions Alan came home on leave, in co-operation with one of his Oakworth friends, Allan Parker, he always put on a concert in the local assembly hall in the New School at Oakworth - These concerts were always called "Private Hodgson Entertains" (see ticket below) Alan was only 20 years old when he was killed in action - What a waste of life and a waste of talent.
